I just tested positive on a pregnancy test. How do I know how far along I am?

We count from the first day of your last normal period. If your periods are irregular, we can often check the date of when you had unprotected sex. A sonogram will confirm if you decide to come visit us in person.

I know I want to end my pregnancy. How soon can I take the abortion pills?

At Early Options you can take abortion pills from when you find out you’re pregnant up to 10 weeks pregnant. As another option, our SofTouch procedure is best completed from 5-12 weeks.

I’m pregnant and unsure of what to do. How long do I have to decide?

Understanding all of your options early in the process can help you make your decision.  We recommend:

  1. Schedule a video chat with an Early Options expert. It can help to review your medical options and have a neutral and nonjudgmental place to talk. Your partner or other support person is welcome. 
  2. Start on prenatal vitamins with folic acid while you make your decision.

These problems are typically related to “retained tissue,” which is resolved with our safe, gentle non-surgical SofTouch procedure. The fee for an “abortion pill follow-up visit” is $350 and includes the SofTouch, if needed. Please call our office and let our staff know you took the pills elsewhere and ask for an “abortion pill urgent visit.”
