SAD

Sadness is common with unplanned or unwanted pregnancy.   Sadness is loss.  Sadness is releasing the pregnancy.  Sadness can also be letting go of the process of making the decision. When you’ve been through something so absorbing and intense – and then that experience ends –  you can be left with a feeling of emptiness.

Pregnancy hormones can intensify sensitivity and sadness.  After ending a pregnancy, there can be sadness when the pregnancy hormones decline.  Tears are normal. It’s important to have the experience of going through these emotions, rather than pushing them down.
